The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Bakewell, opposite the market square and close to local shops. The rooms, although clean and nicely decorated, were smaller than expected and had some issues like flooding during showers. The staff was friendly and helpful but the noise levels were a bit excessive at times. The dining experience was delightful, but some felt it was pricey. Overall, the location is perfect for exploring the area, but cleanliness could be improved in certain areas.

I had a lovely stay at The Peacock in Matlock. The hotel is situated right in the heart of town, making it super convenient for exploring the area. The rooms were nice and clean, and the bar lady was extremely friendly. However, the room might be a bit small for longer stays, and dining options were a bit limited.

The hotel offers very comfortable and spacious rooms, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. However, the room size is slightly small, impacting movement, and the shower design leads to bathroom flooding issues. The pricing is higher considering the limited space available.
